DROPLET VESSELS
An unexpected element of these larger-scale sculptural pieces is the difference between the profile of the interior and exterior forms.
Where the exterior is full and voluminous, the interior form narrows and tapers, creating tension and a sense of mystery. Raku fired to give a smoky depth to the piece or stoneware fired in muted tones or cool white glaze, the droplet vessels can be paired to emphasise the spaces created between them.
