Kate’s containers are inspired by the ritual of collecting and storing special objects. Intricate fastenings made from handmade wooden beads create unique handles for the lids. Contrasting colours define the interiors of the containers and add an element of surprise.

Her bound containers capture a moment in time. Their signature bound lids are permanently secured with linen thread. Commissions have included placing significant and meaningful objects, messages or mementoes inside the containers before binding and sealing them.
