Kate’s ceramic containers are inspired by the ritual of collecting and storing special objects. Intricate fastenings made from linen thread and wooden beads create unique handles for the lids, which are reminiscent of polished stones. Contrasting colours define the interiors of the containers and add an element of surprise.

Her popular ‘Ellipse’ series of oval containers have an organic shaped lid interior, designed to create a satisfying fit and provide an additional level of detail. More recent pieces include ‘Pebble Pots’ and ‘Walnut Wave’ jars which combine ceramic lids with pots made in walnut and ebonised oak. These pieces bring together Kate’s two favourite materials; clay and wood.
